YouTube reportedly close to buying streaming site Twitch

Google's YouTube division is reportedly close to an agreement to buy video gaming focused streaming site Twitch.     The Verge reports the deal might top $1 billion.     Twitch is apparently weighing multiple offers, but its leaning towards Google due to the Mountain View giant's ability to deal with increasing demand.     Twitch, a site with 45 million monthly users, recently made headlines with "Twitch Plays Pokemon", a social experiment that had thousands of users all trying to control the same character in the "Pokemon Red" video game.
