John Terry targets 'many more' trophies with Chelsea after penning new contract

John Terry has paid tribute to Jose Mourinho for reviving his Chelsea career and says he wants to continue winning trophies at Stamford Bridge for many more years.
Terry has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at Chelsea until the end of the 2015-16 season.

But the 34-year-old defender, who has won 13 major honours with Chelsea since making his debut in 1998, says he wants to stay beyond that.
"Hopefully there is many more [trophies],” he told Chelsea TV. “We are very close at the moment. To get that big one at the end of the season would be fantastic. Then we can regroup and go again next year. I am delighted to be here and hopefully there could be a few more years after this.”
Terry has thanked Mourinho for putting his faith in him since returning to Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea captain, who has made 661 appearances for the Blues, was out of favour under interim boss Rafael Benitez during an injury-troubled 2012-13 season but he has started every Premier League game this season.
