Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming original series, The Get Down. The brand new clip, which features footage from the Nas-produced series, depicts a beat-down yet hungry South Bronx in 1977.

The Nas track featured in the background appears to be a brand new song by the rapper, with lyrics dedicated to the historic time period. Back in April, Luhrmann stated that Nas is a “huge creative force” behind the show, which will recount the birth of hip-hop in New York in the 1970s. Starring Tremain Brown Jr., Justice Smith, Shameik Moore, and Skylan Brooks, the series will center around a group of teenagers who make a life-changing pact that forever changes the world. The Get Down premieres only on Netflix on August 12.
Megan Mullally and Constance Wu have joined the cast for a standalone episode of Hulu’s planned sci-fi anthology series Dimension 404. The six-episode series was inspired by that infamous “404” error code often seen on the web, with each hour-long episode exploring a new tech mystery. [Deadline]
