Why La Liga cannot block Neymar’s world-record move to PSG

La Liga cannot block Neymar’s world-record move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, according to Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague.

The league body has insisted that they will not accept a £198m payment from PSG, which is Neymar’s release clause. But Balague insists that the stance has “no legal foundation”.
He tweeted on Thursday: “La Liga say that they will not accept the buy out clause payment but that threat has got no legal foundation at all.”
Neymar moved a step closer to completing his world-record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, after he underwent his medical examination in Porto on Wednesday.
According to L’Equipe, the medical was conducted in the presence of PSG doctor, Eric Rolland.
Neymar has agreed a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 giants. According to Sky Sports, PSG will pay him £90million (€100 million/$119 million) per season in salary in bonuses.
However, that amount will not enter his account due to France’s 75% tax on its highest earners.
Neymar’s will earn £26.7 million (€29.8 million/$35 million) per season after taxes, plus other on-field bonuses and off-field marketing opportunities.
