Nigeria arrive in Russia for 2018 Fifa World Cup

Nigeria arrived in Russia on Monday night, resplendent in green and white ensembles complete with hats and shoes, to win the another fashion contest at the World Cup after their jerseys proved a hit.

The Nigeria travel outfit, made by a local designer, not only taps into the country's traditional culture but also gives a nod to the team's football identity, with embroidered Eagle wings and a football on the chest and collar. The outfits have been a hit on social media and follows on the heels of a globally popular World Cup kit designed by Nike, which sold out within minutes.

The Super Eagles landed at thMineralnye Vody International Airport on Monday night in the run-up to their sixth World Cup appearance.

The Super Eagles – the first African team to qualify for the 21st World Cup, will be making their sixth appearance on the global scene and have been zoned in Group D alongside Argentina, Iceland and Croatia.
