Josephine Orji Powerlifter wins Nigeria’s 8th gold medal at Rio 2016 Paralympics

Powerlifter Josephine Orji has won Nigeria’s eighth gold medal of the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Orji completely dominated the +86kg women’s finals, lifting 156kg to create a world record.
She had a huge lead above second-placed Poland’s Marzena Zieba who won Silver with a mark of 134kg, while Netherlands’ Melaica Tuinfort won Bronze with 130kg.
The Nigerian entered the competition at 151kg which was the highest entered in the finals.
