A new Bob Marley biopic is reportedly in the works.
The reggae legend, who died in May 1981 at the age of 36, will be the
focus of the new film, which is being developed by the late icon’s son
Ziggy Marley in collaboration with Paramount Pictures.
As Deadline
reports, Ziggy will be the driving force behind the picture, which is
still in the very early stages of development. There are few details
about the project at this time, with no directors, writers or producers
currently attached to the biopic.
The upcoming film will be the latest Bob Marley biopic to be made, with the most recent Marley picture, the 2012 film Marley,
featuring archive interviews and footage of the artist. Directed by
Kevin Macdonald, the film was released to critical acclaim.
